I’ve been trying to eat better over the last couple months. At first I was just happy to be eating healthy food, feeling better, and looking better. But after a while, I wanted to get more creative. I’ve been playing with different herb and seasoning combinations on a number of foods and have been pleasantly surprised by the fact that, as long as I don’t go overboard, I haven’t found a combination yet that hasn’t tasted better than having none on at all. Perhaps this is a testament to my untrained tastebuds, but hey, it’s a start! I made the dinner pictured above a couple nights ago, cooking the asparagus and cut potatoes in the same pan with mixed olive oil, butter, garlic, and lemon pepper seasoning, throwing in some fresh herbs from the garden at the end. I like eating healthier, and I like eating flavorful, creative meals so perhaps this is the start of a new interest. We shall see!
